USi's FlexAdvantage(TM) Offers on-Demand Support Services for Hosted and Remote Managed ERP Clients

Company Assists Clients in Addressing Dynamic Enterprise Application Support Requirements

ANNAPOLIS, Md., Oct. 10 // -- USi (http://www.usi.com/), the leading Application Service Provider and a premier provider of Software-as-a-Service, today launched FlexAdvantage(TM), an on-demand, flexible support model which provides more effective cost control for support services of large-scale enterprise applications. USi FlexAdvantage is immediately available for Oracle, PeopleSoft, and Ariba managed hosting clients.

"Instead of requiring clients to make an educated guess as to the level of support they'll need over the course of several years, USi built an elastic structure to provide the right level of support at the right time and for the right price," says Steve Mucchetti, USi's Chief Operating Officer. "FlexAdvantage clients identify services they need, select those services on- demand, and pay for only those services, allowing them to direct their IT budgets in a way that optimizes total cost of ownership."

The model was designed with more efficient use of clients' IT budgets in mind, and it includes several features such as on-demand access to USi's team of ERP experts and an interactive client portal to enhance the visibility and control of monthly IT budgets. To provide additional flexibility, with as little as 30 days' notice, FlexAdvantage clients can adjust support levels to meet their business needs, whether those needs are increasing or decreasing.

FlexAdvantage clients purchase services from a comprehensive task list, which assigns a level of complexity based on a five-point scale of zero to four. USi's clients are billed a standardized fee using the five-level complexity scale, rather than billed hourly which is the industry standard. Task complexity and rate cards are built into FlexAdvantage contracts, allowing clients and USi to fully understand expectations.

"FlexAdvantage allows our clients to purchase services instead of consulting hours, helping them better adjust to the changing demands of their businesses," adds Mucchetti. "In other IT support models, clients risk paying for unused, excess capacity."

In addition, USiView, USi's client portal, provides FlexAdvantage clients on-demand access to support task lists and approval information, which they can use to monitor their ongoing use of IT support and their monthly spend. Monthly usage reports are available in real-time, and the system can be configured to automatically alert clients if they are approaching their budget allocation. The report structure within USiView also details most-used services, allowing clients to understand how their budgets are spent each month and adjust their internal resources accordingly.
