Agfa Graphics Introduces Workflow-integrated Color Management at GRAPH EXPO.

Agfa Graphics has announced a new version of its advanced color management software, :ColorTune 5.0. With tools for profile management, targets measurement, definition of spot colors, and soft proof control on Mac and PC displays, :ColorTune 5.0 brings together color sophistication in the field of ICC (International Color Consortium) profile creation and management of color in the workflow. The software, which will be available in the third quarter of this year, will be demonstrated for the first time at GRAPH EXPO (booth #3839) in McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.
Among the many new features of :ColorTune 5.0 is its ability to generate and measure printed color characterization targets with the most commonly used spectrophotometers, as well as its ability to calibrate all LCD displays for accurate and consistent viewing of colors on screen.

:ColorTune Output 5.0, creates ICC profiles for both commercial sheet-fed and newspaper web presses, proofing devices and industrial inkjet printers. It supports multi-color and device link profiles, ink-limited target generation and closed loop profile optimization.
:ColorTune Measure 5.0 generates and measures printed color characterization targets with the most commonly used spectrophotometers and reports printer and proof performance at a glance.
:ColorTune Spot 5.0 creates named color profiles for special colors (typically spot colors) from which spot color libraries can be exported to a variety of design applications like Illustrator® and InDesign®. For overall efficiency, :ApogeeX Color Books can be created so :ApogeeX can process these colors without operator intervention.
:ColorTune Display 5.0 calibrates and characterizes the LCD for consistent viewing of colors on screen. It includes :ColorTune Display Helper, which monitors the active display profile and passes the information to :ApogeeX or :Delano so that a controlled, accurate softproofing workflow is created.
