Meridian Systems Launches Proliance Starter Pack to Accelerate Implementations



Key components include Proliance Office Business Applications and preconfigured dashboards, metrics, alerts and best practices

FOLSOM, Calif., June 7 /-- Meridian Systems, a provider of enterprise project management software for optimizing capital projects, programs and facilities, announced today the Proliance(R) Starter Pack, a new set of Solution Accelerator technologies designed to improve end user productivity through composite applications, improve executive visibility into programs and projects, and reduce implementation timeframes and costs on new Proliance customer implementations.

Proliance software delivers Infrastructure Lifecycle Management (ILM) to building owners, real estate, construction organizations who plan, build and operate large complex capital project, programs and facilities. These organizations work with Meridian to implement Proliance in order to completely address their project management business objectives.

The Solution Accelerator strategy is built on the foundation of Proliance's Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). These Solution Accelerators are designed to extend Proliance to the end users desktop with familiar applications like Excel as well as for senior management to have preconfigured dashboards, metrics, and alerts to provide visibility into the entire portfolio of projects. The starter pack includes a number of Excel documents that can be used by Proliance end users locally on their desktop, and then to securely connect in real time over the internet and to save data directly into the Proliance database.

o Microsoft Word "Custom Print layouts": Provides users the ability to print detailed documents like project contracts, change orders and meeting minutes with layout and formatting directly into Microsoft Word.

o Standard Project Management Configurations: A series of pre-defined workflows and document templates with associated security roles and corresponding look-ups. These pre-defined configurations leverage best practices and industry knowledge from Meridian's experience on other customer implementations.

o Integration Utilities: Utilities that allow new project teams to enter vast amounts of initial project data, like project specific lookups. Also includes a Schedule Integration utility that supports integrating Proliance Scheduling data with other market-available scheduling applications.

All of these components are enabled by the Proliance application platform, which is built on a SOA using Web services and XML technologies. This powerful and flexible architecture allows customers to implement Proliance based on their specific organizational needs. The Proliance Starter Pack is designed to jump start this configuration process, and to get Proliance customers more quickly down the road to a complete solution.
