Version 6.0 raises the standard for reporting products using Microsoft Excel and fully realizes its pledge: "Design, Report, Manage and Publish". It is the most cost effective application for automatically interfacing to any data source, creating a report in Excel, turning the report into useful information and then sending that information to printers, email, fileservers and web servers.
XLReporter version 6.0 extends its impressive list of supported data sources with customized historical interfaces to any OPC-HDA server, GE-Intellution's Proficy and Wonderware's InSQL. All these interfaces include SyTech's "iterator" technology to simplify the generation of drill down and batch reports.
This version takes reporting beyond simply getting values into an Excel worksheet. The Layout Expert takes Users through a few simple steps to produce very sophisticated reports such as summary or cross-tab (pivot) reports. If Excel charts or calculations are used in the report layout, they are "re-configured" automatically to reflect the report data.
In addition to the versatile automated reporting provided by XLReporter, this version offers complete on-demand reporting. When a report template is defined, template parameters, such as start and end date, are configured as 'user input' so that their values are prompted from the User when the report is requested.
