Milliman Releases MG-ALFA® Version 6.7

Industry Leader Delivers Exciting New Integration & Actuarial Technology

SEATTLE, Nov. 10 /-- Milliman, Inc., the international firm of consultants and actuaries, announced today that it has released the newest version of its MG-ALFA financial projection software. The major enhancements to the market leading software solution include:

-- Integration with Windows HPC Server 2008

-- Cluster modeling technology for assets, liabilities and stochastic scenarios

-- New dynamic policyholder behavior modeling options

-- Enhanced support for equity indexed products

The integration with Microsoft's high performance computing solution opens the door to other opportunities for MG-ALFA clients. Cray Inc. recently introduced the Cray CX1 supercomputer to the marketplace and chose to present MG-ALFA running on Windows HPC Server 2008 as its sample application at the Microsoft launch event. In addition, IBM and the Holland Computing Center are now offering hosted service options for MG-ALFA running on HPC 2008.

"Milliman is very proud to be the first actuarial system vendor to be integrated with Windows HPC Server 2008," said Pat Renzi, MG-ALFA product manager at Milliman Inc. "Our recent integration continues our history of success in delivering the speed and capacity of high-performance computing from Microsoft. In addition, MG-ALFA is a highly scalable application that is extremely easy to implement and integrate into the IT infrastructure of our insurance company clients."

In addition to the new HPC option, Version 6.7 introduces new actuarial functionality in the form of cluster modeling. MG-ALFA is the first projection system to leverage cluster technology to allow clients to create highly compressed, extremely accurate models in an efficient and automated manner, thereby facilitating stochastic and nested stochastic analysis across very large scenario sets.
