ACCESS Unveils NetFront(TM) Document Viewer to Deliver Full Viewing of Microsoft® Office Documents to Mobile Users Worldwide

TOKYO, Japan September 27, 2005 - ACCESS Co., Ltd., (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 4813), a global provider of mobile content delivery and Internet access technologies, announced the availability of NetFront Document Viewer, an advanced software solution that enables full viewing of Microsoft Office documents including Word, Excel®, and PowerPoint® on mobile handsets. NetFront Document Viewer supports documents created with versions of Microsoft Office 97 and newer and includes user-selectable document zooming and rotation features. NetFront Document Viewer is an ideal solution for handset manufacturers and mobile operators who want to meet the needs of mobile professionals requiring access to Microsoft Office documents while on the go.

Based on market proven technology developed by Naraworks, Inc., NetFront Document Viewer is available as a standalone solution, or as a component of ACCESS' comprehensive NetFront Mobile Client Suite software suite.

The NetFront Document Viewer will be embedded as a component of the NetFront Mobile Client Suite (NMCS) in Sanyo's PHS WX30SA, which is slated for distribution by Willcom in November of this year. JRC also plans to ship its PHS WX310J in January 2006. In addition, because the WX310SA and WX310J will include Adobe® Reader® LE software developed jointly by ACCESS and Adobe Systems Incorporated, they will also be able to display Adobe PDF documents.

"With NetFront Document Viewer and NetFront browser's integrated support for Adobe Reader LE, ACCESS has developed a powerful mobile solution that will deliver millions of mobile users full viewing of the world's most popular PC document formats," said Toru Arakawa, president and CEO of ACCESS. "We are delighted to be able to provide full viewing support for Microsoft Office documents to the world's mobile phone operators and mobile phone users."

ACCESS' award winning NetFront browser is widely recognized as one of the most advanced and popular browsers in the world. NetFront provides a comprehensive feature-set that includes support for the OMA Browsing 2.2, WML, HTML 4.01, and cHTML standards. NetFront also features unique technologies that make mobile Internet browsing highly responsive and intuitive like Rapid-Render(TM), a sophisticated incremental rendering technology that dramatically accelerates the presentation of Web pages; and Smart-Fit Rendering(TM), a technology that intelligently renders Web pages to fit the screen width of mobile devices, eliminating the need for horizontal scrolling. NetFront was the first browser to be deployed for a commercial 3G mobile service (W-CDMA), and it continues to be the choice of leading mobile handset manufacturers and mobile operators worldwide. NetFront also provides integrated support for Adobe PDF files via Adobe Reader LE, which is a first for mobile browsers.
