EntropySoft, the ECM Interoperability Leader, Releases a New IBM WebSphere PDM Connector

EntropySoft, specialist of the ECI (Enterprise Content Integration) market and unstructured data integration, announces the addition of an IBM WebSphere Portal Document Manager connector to its portfolio. By making available yet another connector, EntropySoft is once more working towards simple, normalised access to all content repositories. This connector is therefore another step towards increased content interoperability.

EntropySoft's IBM WebSphere PDM software connector enables read-only access to content stored in the IBM WebSphere PDM repository. IBM WebSphere PDM is based on a Java Content Repository (JCR) and stores content in a relational database management system (RDBMS).

Says Nicolas Maquaire, EntropySoft CEO, "Specially designed for versions 5.1 and 6.0 of IBM WebSphere PDM, our connector uses specific APIs to be able to access document permissions as well as navigate in the user-directory. This is a very useful feature for our OEM partners and their customers. By releasing this connector, we are aiming to further consolidate our market-leading position. Our connectors and products portfolio will also help IBM customers achieve smooth content transfers between the IBM WebSphere PDM repository and other repositories."

This connector is part of EntropySoft's connectors' portfolio, which consists of more than 25 connectors, the biggest offering of connectors on the market. Recently developed connectors include HP TRIM, Oracle UCM and Interwoven WorkSite. The plug-and-play EntropySoft connectors list includes major applications such as Microsoft SharePoint, EMC Documentum, FileNET P8, Open Text LiveLink, Interwoven TeamSite etc...

EntropySoft builds its integration strategies on this portfolio of connectors. The connectors simplify and normalize access to all content repositories for software or service companies and implement the main features of all connected applications.

EntropySoft leverages its unique portfolio in two exclusive products: Content ETL and Content Federation.

- Content ETL extracts, transforms and loads content from various content repositories. This solution is used for Records Management projects, to connect, organize and industrialize transfers of records from all content-centric applications into the ERMS solution. Content ETL is used for records-automation based on metadata policies.

- EntropySoft Content Federation consolidates all content repositories and delivers a federated access to folders and documents scattered in different repositories. Content Federation is a set of server components that accelerates the content integration by offering to business applications a normalized access to all available content silos as well as a content federation capacity.

EntropySoft's technology can be implemented in third-party software at each level of content integration. Products are designed for software vendors to include in their own applications, empowering their solutions with a strong market differentiator.

EntropySoft: the ECM interoperability leader.
