SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 21 /-- Blue Coat(R) Systems (NASDAQ:BCSI), the leader in secure content and application delivery, today announced the availability of Blue Coat Reporter 8, featuring the new Reporter Dashboard(TM) for a unique, instantaneous view of important Web activity with an eye to security, compliance monitoring and performance assessment. Built for maximizing the value of information available from ProxySG(TM) appliances, Reporter 8 also more than doubles the number of pre-defined reports -- now more than 150, offering the largest selection of any content filtering reporting product in the industry. Reporter 8 provides the ability to easily create customized reports for comprehensive tracking, review and analysis of data captured by WebFilter and ProxySG. Reporter 8's significantly enhanced performance speeds the processing of large amounts of log data for custom or pre-defined reports.

The Reporter Dashboard displays real-time data on an administrator's monitor of an enterprise's Web events and activities. It can be customized to show a variety of information, ranging from desktops likely infected with spyware to data about Web surfing activity, requests for software updates, downloading activity and level of encrypted traffic. Data for each area of monitoring can be updated periodically or streamed continuously.
With more than double the number of pre-defined reports, customers can easily initiate reports showing data in a form best suited for them. The creation of customized reports benefits from intuitive report creation tools and a flexible framework for accessing data. The new Reporter 8 engine speeds data collection from the logs and greatly accelerates its tabulation and analysis.

Reporter 8 Enterprise Edition is immediately available for $4,950 in the U.S. The Enterprise Edition includes simplified custom reporting, scalability for multiple CPUs and multiple administrator profiles. The Standard Edition is included with the purchase of ProxySG appliances.
