Lumigent's announcement is timely as important PCI deadlines occur through December. Specifically, Level 1 retailers, defined by PCI as conducting six million or more annual card transactions, need to be in compliance with the PCI Standard this month. Failure to be in compliance can result in fines up to $250,000 a month. Level 2 retailers, defined as conducting one to six million annual card transactions, have until the end of this year to be in compliance.

The resulting detailed, automated audit trails can be retained online for a period of time (e.g., 90 days as called for in the PCI DSS requirements) and then archived and saved for as long as needed.
