Setup and Run Data Acquisition Systems Quickly and Easily with VXI Technology's DAC Express© 3.4 Intuitive Software Environment

New DAC Express release brings turnkey software for precision, synchronized, multi-channel distributed measurements.

Data recording setup has never been faster!

Irvine, CA - MARCH 20, 2008 - VXI Technology, Inc. (VTI) announced today the latest release of its popular DAC Express software. DAC Express 3.4 turnkey software brings a robust set of data measurement capabilities for combined dynamic and static measurement analysis together into one system. The DAC Express intuitive GUI significantly shortens the time-consuming tasks of test hardware setup and configuration - from setting channel configurations and display routines, to creating data files and exporting data.

Test engineers can begin monitoring, recording and analyzing data much quicker than ever before. Setup is quick and easy using DAC Express' auto instrument discovery and intuitive GUI for setting channel configuration. Connected hardware is auto-identified and easily assigned with the click of a mouse. Once setup is complete, engineers are instantly ready to capture, display and analyze test data.

In the past, combining analog, digital, and counter measurements required hours of programming time to configure multiple testing instruments. Now, with DAC Express and one or more of VTI's high-performance instruments, these measurement capabilities can be easily combined into a single system. The software automatically detects system components and the intuitive software interface allows users to generate channel assignments using DAC Express' easy-to-use "non programming" environment.

With new support for VTI's full feature EX1000A family of instruments, the DAC Express environment supports distributed temperature, voltage, pressure and strain measurements in one, all-inclusive system. Set up time is reduced significantly and measurement repeatability is ensured thanks to features such as fully integrated signal conditioning, advance cold junction (CJC) compensation, and complete end-to-end self calibration. LXI Class A compliant, the instruments are ideal for distributed measurements throughout a facility using industry-standard Ethernet cable and connections. Configuration flexibility allows mixing of high-level voltages and thermocouples. Inputs from multiple transducers can be combined without sacrificing performance or accessibility. Each temperature channel has independent front panel open-thermocouple detection, programmable filters supporting all thermocouple types, and direct mini-TC connections to simplify installation, checkout, and maintenance activities.

Used with VTI's EX1629 series, DAC Express allows users to easily monitor over 400 channels of strain gauges. The EX1629 is ideal for mechanical stress and fatigue testing as it features independent 24-bit A/D converters per channel, extensive software selectable filtering, and independent signal conditioning paths for exceptional accuracy and reliability.

Together with VTI's performance hardware, DAC Express systems save time and provide the level of accuracy and repeatability required for data capture, display and analysis. DAC Express 3.4 is also available as an upgrade for customers with earlier versions of DAC Express.
