Cognio's New Identify and Recommend Capability Extends Cognitive Management Abilities For WiFi Networks
GERMANTOWN, Md.--Cognio announced today availability of the newest release of its award-winning Spectrum Expert(TM). Building on Spectrum Expert's market-leading ability to identify security, performance and reliability risks caused by devices, Spectrum Expert 3.1 now includes the industry's first and only solution for recommending specific actions that should be taken by IT managers to maintain the integrity and performance of WiFi networks.
With this release, Spectrum Expert can now make specific recommendations on how to respond to individual interfering devices in an enterprise WiFi network. Spectrum Expert provides a detailed profile on each device's spectrum characteristics, typical interference impacts and signal strength. The tool then provides a recommended course of action on how best to eliminate or minimize potential impact to the WiFi network.

Support for Window's Vista Operating System - enables IT managers to upgrade the company's operating systems without impacting their ability to effectively manage and protect their WiFi assets.
