WorkForce Software Introduces EmpCenter(TM) Advanced Scheduler

WorkForce Software's Scheduling System Saves Employers Time and Money

LIVONIA, Mich., Jan. 16 /-- WorkForce Software, Inc., a leader in workforce management solutions, announces the release of EmpCenter(TM) Advanced Scheduler, a schedule optimization module to help employers reduce overtime costs while offering employees more flexibility.

WorkForce's EmpCenter suite provides an extensive range of products to meet the specific requirements of any organization, including Time and Attendance, Activity-based Costing, Multiple Assignment Management, Accruals and Absence Management, FMLA Management and Reporting. By offering an advanced scheduling solution, WorkForce extends its product line for current and future customers.

"Our goal is to provide solutions that save our customers time and money, and we do that by responding to their needs," said CEO and President Kevin Choksi, WorkForce Software. "Advanced Scheduler helps optimize schedules so that service goals are met, employees have more choices, and organizations reduce overtime costs."

The Advanced Scheduler module automates the following business processes:

-- Demand-Based Scheduling -- Enables each group or department to create schedules specific to that department's forecasted demand for labor. Demand information may come from point-of-sale systems, manufacturing applications, maintenance software, and other sources.
-- Auto-Scheduling -- Automatically configures the best schedule based on requirements, employee skills, planned time-off and budgets. After generating the schedule, supervisors can reassign, add, or subtract employees for special circumstances.
-- Shift Bidding -- Allows employees to bid for the shift or schedule they want. This process can be time-consuming and is error prone. The Advanced Scheduler can streamline the process by using auto-assignment rules during employee sign-up periods, which assign the right employees to the right shifts.
-- Overtime Equalization -- Supports multiple-union environments, so each group can be canvassed for overtime using a wholly distinct rules set. The result is a fair and contractually balanced distribution of overtime.
-- Leave Management -- Integration between EmpCenter's Accruals and Absence Management module and the Advanced Scheduler allows organizations to manage both employee schedules and employee leave from the same system. Approved leave requests are written directly to the schedule, so the employee is automatically marked as unavailable for regular work.

This Web-based application is designed for organizations with complex requirements, including universities, utilities, manufacturers, resorts, casinos, healthcare, and others. EmpCenter Advanced Scheduler is available immediately and is offered as either an on-premises software license or an on- demand service. For more information, visit http://workforcesoftware.com/ .
