February 23, 2009 - Suiting router and switch OEMs, ZebOS® Network Platform v7.7 provides support for MPLS and, with PBB-TE functionality, for Carrier Ethernet networks. It is available preintegrated with leading silicon devices and OSs, also supporting provider backbone bridge-traffic engineering, bi-directional forwarding detection, OpenSAF Middleware, and Broadcom StrataXGS IV. Software also enables MPLS systems to support pseudowires across multiple packet switched networks.

IP Infusion to Release ZebOS® Network Platform 7.7

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 10 / / - IP Infusion, an ACCESS company and provider of intelligent software for Next Generation Network (NGN) equipment manufacturers and converged IP services providers, today announced the release of its ZebOS Network Platform version 7.7 software which supports PBB-TE functionality, an essential ingredient to creating large Carrier Ethernet networks.

Available in April, 2009, ZebOS 7.7 is the most complete core networking platform that provides full support for MPLS and for Carrier Ethernet, allowing router and switch OEMs to lower their software engineering costs and reduce time to market in delivering next-generation transport hardware to market.

Specific features in ZebOS 7.7 include:

- Support for Provider Backbone Bridge-Traffic Engineering (PBB-TE)

- Hardened implementation of BGP Route Server for deployment in Carrier Networks utilizing commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware

- Support for OpenSAF, the industry's leading high-availability (HA)
middleware

- Ability of MPLS solution to support pseudowires across multiple Packet Switched Networks (PSNs)

- Broadcom StrataXGS IV support
