Meridian Systems Enhances Proliance Software for Capital Project Management

New 3.5 Release Improves Usability, Performance and Supports Latest Microsoft and Brava Technologies

FOLSOM, Calif., Sept. 26 // -- Meridian Systems(R), a provider of enterprise project management software for optimizing capital projects, programs and facilities, announced today the availability of Proliance(R) version 3.5. Proliance is an infrastructure lifecycle management application used by real estate developers, building owners/operators, and engineering and construction firms managing large and complex capital project and facility portfolios.

Proliance has been adopted by several infrastructure-intensive organizations managing large capital project portfolios, with dollar volumes ranging from $350 million to over $5 billion. Proliance allows these organizations to reduce capital project costs, shorten cycle times, and improve facility maintenance by automating the entire Plan - Build - Operate project lifecycle.

Current Proliance customers include: Baptist Health South Florida, DMJM Management, Fifth Third Bancorp, HNTB Corporation, Illinois Tollway, J. Ray McDermott, Trammell Crow Company and the United States Postal Service. Customer feedback drove the enhancement goals for Proliance 3.5, which delivers both usability and performance improvements, as well as support for the latest technology platforms. Detailed enhancements include:

-- Support for Microsoft SQL Server 2005. Proliance customers on SQL 2005 can benefit from improvements to application performance, scalability and security. Visit www.microsoft.com/SQL to learn more about the benefits of SQL 2005.
-- Support for Brava.NET by Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC). Proliance integrates with Brava!, their web-based document viewing and collaboration software, to provide document view and redlining capabilities. Supporting Brava.NET provides Proliance customers with the following benefits:
1. Easier to deploy -- no more Java requirements
2. View and markup for Microsoft Office documents
3. Export to PDF (with markup burn-in) -- export images with markups to PDF format for viewing and distribution among non-Proliance users
-- Copy Configuration. This allows changes in Proliance templates or configuration to be saved and moved from different Proliance systems. Users will find value in being able to fully leverage a development/test environment to move configuration data around.
-- Performance improvements and usability enhancements, including Auto Complete. This feature improves speed and accuracy of data entry by displaying a list of possible values for a field based on the characters a user types.

Proliance software uniquely combines project and portfolio management functionality, facilities management, business process management and business analytics, on a scalable enterprise technology platform, providing one system of record for managing all capital projects, programs and facilities.
