ShareCrypt provides protection for network directories with simultaneous access
MUNICH, July 5 /- While company networks are protected externally with rigorous safety measures, the same care doesn't always occur internally: data is vulnerable and can be accessed by anyone, including unauthorized people.
In order to protect data on the network for remote access, SecurStar offers ShareCrypt, which effectively encrypts shared network units. This means that different users can access data simultaneously, but access by non- authorized people will be blocked or limited. All information saved in a folder remains 100% encoded and access is restricted to only those who have the decryption code.
The creator's unit is able to add, remove and classify users according to their needs. Each classification may or may not allow the user to modify the frame of the encrypted file: as a "regular user", he can just access the files. As an "administrator", he is allowed to modify the encryption structure, and can add and remove users at any time.
The software works with an unlimited number of encoded folders of any size, which can be accessed simultaneously by authorized users.
All CIFS/SMB servers, such as MS Windows, Novell Netware 6 and UNIX/Samba, are supported.
ShareCrypt is a solution to protect network files and allows separate or combined use of SecurStar DriveCrypt products on the same machine for access.
