Bocada Releases Bocada Centralized Manager 2.0 for DPM 2007

BELLEVUE, Wash., June 25 -- Today, Bocada, Inc., the pioneer and leading provider of data protection reporting and analysis solutions, announced general availability of the Bocada Centralized Manager 2.0 for Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager 2007 (DPM 2007). The Bocada Centralized Manager 2.0 for DPM 2007 enables backup, SQL, SharePoint, Exchange and Windows Server administrators and end users to easily manage the protection and recovery of Microsoft workloads.

Bocada Centralized Manager helps reduce complexity and ensure data recoverability by providing secure, centralized control and monitoring on all DPM 2007 data protection activities. Centralized Manager greatly improves administrative efficiencies, enhances IT communications and reporting and helps reduces overall costs making this solution a must have for any organization implementing multiple DPM 2007 servers to protect Microsoft workloads.

The new version enables users to monitor, configure and control multiple DPM 2007 servers from a central web based console. Bocada Centralized Manager is the only centralized management solution that allows for real time modifications to protection groups, disk pools and retention settings.

-- Dashboard view (with drilldown) provides simple overview into health and status of the data protection environment
-- Ability to restart failed jobs on any managed server from the centralized console
-- View and modify data protection group configurations (policies)
-- View and modify short and long term retention goals and targets (disk or tape)
-- View and modify disk allocations for each DPM 2007 server
-- Alert when disk pools that have reached or exceeded defined thresholds
-- Library analysis for identification of media targets for each job
