GSS Automates Migration from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Outlook

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Oct. 11 -- Global System Services Corporation ("GSS"), a leading e-mail and messaging integrator and migration tools software vendor, today announced its latest e-mail migration tool, NSF2PST. The NSF2PST tool enables large-scale conversion of Lotus Notes e-mail files ("NSF" files) to the popular Microsoft Outlook Personal Store ("PST") format. NSF2PST can be used for e-mail migrations as well as for data recovery and computer forensics.

Existing e-mail migration tools are complex to configure and operate, depend on access to running e-mail servers, and involve complex "co-existence" models. Unlike most existing tools, NSF2PST works without a Notes or Domino server and can operate unattended in batch mode for fast conversion of large amounts of data. NSF2PST can also be run automatically on user workstations or by individual users to convert their own e-mail from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Outlook.

NSF2PST is ideal for Lotus customers using Microsoft Outlook on the desktop with Domino Servers as well as for customers migrating from Lotus Notes and Domino to Microsoft Exchange and Outlook.

Because NSF2PST does not require a working Notes or Domino environment it can also be used for data recovery and computer forensics. NSF2PST can recover messages from almost any NSF file and accurately preserves all message attributes compatible with the Microsoft Outlook PST format. NSF2PST complements legal discovery and similar tools that support only Microsoft formats.

"We introduced NSF2PST to meet growing customer demand for a faster, simpler way to convert Notes data to Outlook," said Ron Herardian, Chief Systems Architect at GSS. "NSF2PST reflects our 10-year track record in the migration tools software business. There is no faster or more accurate tool for NSF to PST conversions."

NSF2PST works with all language versions of Notes and Outlook including double-byte languages such as Chinese and Japanese.

Customers can find out more about NSF2PST and other migration tools by contacting GSS at +1 (650) 965-8669.
