May 30, 2007 - Run under Windows 95/98/ME/NT4.0/2000/XP, Network Time System protects system time integrity and smooth flow of time-dependent processes by allowing accurate synchronization of system times across entire networks. Client/server time synchronization utility simultaneously checks up to 3 external time sources to verify accuracy of network time and features built-in firewall for server security. Administrators can limit access to time server by network or IP address.

Broadway, New York - Softros Systems, Inc. introduces Network Time System, a powerful time synchronization utility that protects system time integrity and smooth flow of time-dependent processes by allowing fast and accurate synchronization of system times across entire networks.

Exact time is very important, especially in today's international and electronic environment. However, any one single time source is not always enough to make sure users have the correct time. Clocks go faster or slower over time, batteries and power sources go dead, or important time changes, such as daylight saving, can be forgotten. Getting the time wrong, by minutes, seconds or even fraction of seconds, results in critical problems. Imagine the havoc caused by errors when automated tasks go haywire between different systems with time conflicts; discrepancies in records when transaction times fail to tally due to time differences, and financial accounting errors and database errors due to mismatched timestamps. Administrators can of course manually check the time on internal system clocks, but this is a difficult task, especially when multiple systems are involved, and still leaves much room for error.

Softros System, Inc.'s Network Time System provides the solution to system time maintenance problems. This powerful client/server time system lets users set up a virtually failsafe synchronized time environment for networks of any size and complexity, from small office networks to huge enterprise networks. It does this by simultaneously checking up to 3 external time sources to verify the accuracy of the network time. External time sources can include Internet time servers or even reliable local time sources such as GPS or clock cards. The verified time is then synchronized across all client machines across the network through the enterprise network time server. Fast and accurate synchronization is ensured by advanced features such as high-speed network protocols and precise speed-factored time analysis, as well as its Network Time System's unique protocols and expandable architecture.

Network Time System does not sacrifice security or flexibility to provide accurate and powerful time synchronization to networks. A powerful encryption system and a built in firewall guarantees the security of the server. The option to limit access to the time server by network or IP address is also available. Network Time System's highly flexible and scalable architecture allows it to be customized to the user's unique needs. Network Time System gives users the option to set up multiple Network Time Servers on the network, so that even if one server fails, there are always other backups on standby.

With Network Time System, users can have full confidence in the accuracy of their system times, as well as any records or processes where precise, accurate system times play an important role.
