Approva Releases Version 3.5.2 of BizRights Platform & Enterprise Controls Suite for Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
RESTON, Va., Feb. 8 -- Approva(R) Corporation (http://www.approva.net/), the leader in continuous controls monitoring and audit software, today released the latest version of its BizRights(R) software suite. Approva BizRights version 3.5.2 enables companies to strengthen their Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) programs by extending their continuous controls monitoring and audit processes to new applications and further automating their processes for controls testing, remediation and sign-offs.
"The recent guidance proposed by the Securities and Exchange Commission highlights the important role continuous controls monitoring and audit applications play in enabling companies to cost-effectively meet their regulatory obligations," said Prashanth Boccasam, chief executive officer at Approva. "With the release of version 3.5.2 of Approva BizRights we have reinforced our position as the only company with a cross-application solution which can manage the full breadth of controls that comprise most companies' GRC programs."
Version 3.5.2 offers new features and capabilities for organizations using SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and Hyperion and other ERP solutions as well as legacy and custom applications. SAP users will benefit from quicker and more flexible workflow routing and simplified management of segregation of duties (SoD) and user access risks at every stage of the approval process. For users running Oracle E-Business Suite or PeopleSoft Enterprise, this release offers extensive new features for managing user authorizations. Business process owners can now exclude users and responsibilities from analysis by applying compensating controls. Organizations using Oracle and PeopleSoft can now prevent new risks from being introduced with "what if" simulations integrated into the user provisioning process. For all users, regardless of ERP system, updated reporting capabilities provide more detailed audit trails which track the control remediation progress for specific risks.
New Features
Some of the specific new features in Approva BizRights 3.5.2 include:
-- Closed-Loop Control Remediation Capability for Oracle & PeopleSoft: New capabilities enable closed-loop remediation for resolving segregation of duties and sensitive access violations and automating compensating controls for Oracle & PeopleSoft users.
-- Streamlined User Provisioning: New workflow routing capabilities enable user provisioning change requests to be dynamically routed to the proper approver based on the role naming convention or user attributes in the user master record; the release also provides "out of office" support to avoid unnecessary delays in processing user access requests.
-- Improved "What If" Simulation Capability: Users can now conduct more detailed and customized 'what if' analyses during the user provisioning process to test for potential control violations and identify potential remedies when violations occur.
-- Expanded Audit Trail for User Access Change Requests: New reports provide improved audit trails for user provisioning.
-- Expanded Support for Cross-Application Control Monitoring: Improvements to the BizRights Authoring Studios enable controls monitoring for legacy and custom ERP applications in addition to Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP and JD Edwards ERP solutions.
-- Improved Performance of Process Controls: Enhancements to Process Insights enable more flexible and higher performance analysis and controls monitoring of master data, configuration settings and transactions.
"This release demonstrates our continued commitment to innovation and customer success," said Silas Matteson, senior vice president of products at Approva. "We have listened to the needs of our customers and responded to market demand in this quickly evolving sector. With this release we are significantly raising the bar that GRC applications will be measured by when it comes to usability and performance."
