Software Plug-in enables terrain modeling in Bricscad.March 10, 2009 -
TerrainCAD plug-in allows Bricscad users to create accurate terrain meshes from survey points and contours and refine it using breaklines. Survey points are triangulated using Delaunay Triangulation Algorithm to arrive at terrain mesh. Software is capable of triangulating area between contours, and also allows users to add break lines to control terrain mesh topology. Command to calculate mass properties of mesh, such as volume and surface area, is also provided.

SYCODE Launches TerrainCAD for Bricscad
Panaji, India - 17th Feb, 2009 - SYCODE today launched TerrainCAD for Bricscad, a terrain modeling plug-in for Bricscad.

TerrainCAD for Bricscad can read a set of points from a text file and create point objects in a Bricscad drawing. It can then triangulate these points using a fast and robust Delaunay Triangulation Algorithm to arrive at a superior terrain mesh. The plug-in even triangulates the area between contours and gives the user the freedom to add breaklines in order to control the topology of the resulting terrain mesh.
Another powerful feature of TerrainCAD for Bricscad is its ability to solidify a terrain mesh by giving it thickness. It also has a command to calculate the mass properties of a mesh such as volume and surface area.
TerrainCAD for Bricscad is designed to work with the Professional as well as Classic version of Bricscad V8 and V9. Priced at $195 the plug-in is available as a fully functional 10 day/run trial.
