Fairport, New York, March 18, 2002 --- Dawning Technologies announced the addition of the Downtime ID Module, a software application for its ResultNet/Plus Clinical Router application. This productivity enhancing software allows labs to continue processing result data in the event of Lab Information System
downtime.
The Downtime ID module allows lab professionals to map temporary specimen ID's used during LIS downtime to valid ID's that are available once the LIS is back online. By automatically mapping the temporary ID's to valid ID's you save the time associated with the manual entry of complete result data records generated during system downtime. This ability to continue processing data through LIS downtime helps laboratories maintain peak efficiency regardless of LIS operational status.
This software application is the latest in a series of recent upgrades and additions to the company's ResultNet(R) software suite. Since June of 2001 Dawning has introduced three different modules for ResultNet/Plus, the Windows based version of the product, with plans for additional ones in the works. Recently the company announced a Java(TM) based version of ResultNet and eventually plans to have all their current modules available for use on this new platform.
