Industrial Part Marking with Small-Format UV LED Printers

Direct Jet small-format UV LED printers from Direct Color SystemsŪ are ideal for many part marking applications including barcode, part ID, UID, equipment faceplates, serial plates, microchips, electronic components and more. Crisp text, standard codes and sharp, detailed logos and images can be applied to even the darkest of metals, plastics, ceramics and a wide variety of other materials. The Direct Jet UV's precision print head allows small, delicate parts to be marked without being damaged. Fine detail text for OCR applications is achievable with an ink droplet size as small as 1.5 picoliters. The Direct Jet UV printer line can accommodate parts up to 10" x 24" (254mm x 610mm) and 6" (152mm) thick. Custom trays and jigs are available.

These small-format printers can be set up and operated quickly while offering increased flexibility and customization options. They fit onto desktops and tabletops for easy integration into production processes.

UV LED inks offer superior durability and resistance to abrasion and solvents in even the harshest industrial environments. UV inks retain some flexibility after curing, making them less susceptible to cracking. UV inks adhere permanently to metals (stainless steel, aluminum, powder-coated metals, etc.), plastics, wood, glass, ceramics and more.
