August 18, 2004 - TambourDoorâ„¢ converts existing open shelf filing systems into lockable units in order to meet HIPAA mandates. Compatible with ThinStak®, Vu-Stakâ„¢, and 4Postâ„¢ Shelving systems, as well as systems from other manufacturers, product is available with 24, 36, and 48 in. wide shelving. Each side-mounting rail is of one-piece construction, and built-in handle facilitates opening/closing of door. Sliding door recesses back into housing unit and locks in place when closed.

Datum Filing Systems Introduces TambourDoorâ„¢ Systems

The TambourDoorâ„¢ from Datum Filing Systems was developed to convert existing open shelf filing systems to lockable units in order to meet HIPAA mandates. TambourDoorâ„¢ is compatible with Datum's ThinStak®, Vu-Stakâ„¢ and 4Postâ„¢ Shelving systems, as well as systems from several other manufacturers.
The TambourDoorâ„¢ is available in widths of 24", 36" and 48" wide shelving. Each side-mounting rail is a one piece construction and attaches to the shelving unit with brackets and screws. A built-in handle, located approximately at waist-height allows for easy opening and closing of the door. The sliding door recesses back into the housing unit for access to stored media. After use, the door slides down, completely covering the stored media, and locks.
