New Pre-Engineered Skids Speed Chemical Feed Pump Installation

New pre-assembled chemical feed pump skids, equipped with any make or style of pumps, have been introduced by Jacobs Air Water Systems of Tampa, Florida.

Designed to consolidate and ease chemical feed pump installation for municipal water and wastewater applications, the skids are manufactured to uniform sizes and layouts whenever possible to speed placement of multiple pumps. Each skid is equipped with process components that typically include calibration columns, back-pressure valves, pressure-relief valves, pulsation dampeners, and gauges. The skids are fabricated of PVC, CPVC, or other corrosion-resistant material according to application requirements. Each skid features a drip ledge for containment of spills, an integral drain, and cut-outs to accommodate fork-lift equipment.

All chemical feed pump piping is contained within the exterior dimensions of the skid; in addition, built-in unions allow connection with process piping. The skids are prewired with junction boxes for single-connection electrical and signal wiring hook-ups.

Jacobs Air Water Systems operates and tests all pumps before they before leave the factory, resulting in extra assurance against leaks and as a double-check for proper accessory installation.

For more information about the pre-engineered, packaged chemical feed pump skids, contact Jerry Wingo at Jacobs Air Water Systems, 5421 Beaumont Center Blvd., Suite 600, Tampa, FL 33634. Telephone 813/901-8825; fax 813/901-8821
