New Ekahau Site Survey(TM) Version 7.0 Speeds up Enterprise Wi-Fi Verification by 2x

Ekahau Site Survey (ESS) 7.0 combines true enterprise-grade scalability with data collection from multiple Wi-Fi adapters (802.11ac and 802.11n WLAN) and touch-screen surveying support for tablets simplifies survey work

RESTON, Va. – Ekahau, the leading provider of Wi-Fi (WLAN) design and optimization tools, today announced the release of version 7.0 of its Wi-Fi site survey and planning tool: Ekahau Site Survey.

With the newest version of Ekahau Site Survey, WLAN engineers and IT administrators can conduct Wi-Fi site surveys using multiple Wi-Fi devices, simultaneously. Using multiple Wi-Fi adapters with ESS reduces the time it takes to complete a site walk and improves site survey speed by up to two times, while maintaining WLAN measurement accuracy. This translates into two times faster network verification and optimization.

When asked for comment, Keith Parsons (@KeithRParsons), Wi-Fi veteran, trainer, and a key industry influencer stated, "During the last six months, the market perception of Ekahau's Wi-Fi Tools has changed from challenger into a preferred option for Wireless LAN professionals. The added features, improved usability, and very fast processing speeds, will reinforce Ekahau's position."

Jussi Kiviniemi (@jussikiviniemi), Vice President of Wi-Fi Tools for Ekahau added, "Our Ekahau Site Survey users want to complete on-site network validation as fast as possible. Simply put, version 7.0 of Ekahau Site Survey allows engineers to spend less time surveying and more time maximizing Wi-Fi performance."

In addition, Ekahau Site Survey 7.0 offers other key improvements. A new automated WLAN channel optimizer suggests ideal channel configuration, taking into account wider 802.11ac and 802.11n channelization. For quickly analyzing differences in the Wireless LAN over time, such as emerging interference or coverage problems, ESS 7.0 offers a variety of "Network Differences" comparison features.

Ekahau Site Survey 7.0 is available from Ekahau and its distributors, at: www.ekahau.com/wifidesign. Users with valid Ekahau Support contracts will receive version ESS 7.0 free of charge within the next two weeks. Those with no valid Support contract should contact: wifidesign@ekahau.com.
