February 28, 2013 - Recording AC voltage and current, Electrocorder Single-Phase Energy Data Logger Kit includes datalogger, analysis software, voltage leads, and USB lead. Kit monitors one voltage channel and one current channel, recording energy consumption up to 300 V and 16 A. When recording, average voltage and current, along with max/min cycle values, are stored over chosen period of 1 sec to 60 min. Every cycle is sampled multiple times for up to 300 days of continuous recording.

Single-Phase Energy Equipment Logger Kit from CAS DataLoggers

New AC Voltage and Current Appliance Data Logger

CHESTERLAND OH—At CAS DataLoggers, we often get calls from customers working with electrical equipment powering industrial and medical systems which often go down for unknown reasons. For these issues, we offer our Electrocorder Single-Phase Energy Data Logger Kit as an incredibly cost-effective solution. Recording both voltage and current, the kit includes the equipment data logger, carrying case, FREE analysis software, voltage leads and a USB lead—all packaged for a lower cost than you’ll find anywhere else.

Our new single phase data logger kit is specifically designed to monitor one voltage channel and one current channel, recording energy consumption up to 300V and 16A. This allows you to monitor both the main voltage supply and the load current via the logger’s internal current sensor to determine the energy consumption of various appliances or electrical equipment. We also provide a voltage input lead and output lead in the kit. When recording, the Electrocorder will store the average voltage and current over the period chosen (1 sec to 60 min) and also records the highest (max) & lowest (min) cycle values during that period. Averaging periods are user-selectable to suit each situation, accurate to ±2% of range.

Voltage and current levels are stored along with dates and times. With its backup battery, the Electrocorder can continue to record for months. On the logger, recording is signified by a flashing green light, while the red light shows users that the unit has completed logging.

Many competing brands just take a single ‘snapshot’ sample but then go back to sleep, missing nearly all of the data necessary to identify problems and find savings. By contrast, our appliance data logger kit utilizes a constant data sampling technique which samples every cycle multiple times for up to 300 days of continuous recording, capturing much more data and enabling truly comprehensive metering. The datalogger’s memory capacity is 32,000 true RMS voltage values per phase (10 bit), and all data is stored in non-volatile memory.

FREE Electrosoft software is supplied with all Electrocorder data loggers. This user-friendly software lets users to define the voltage so they can plot power and energy, then simply upload all recorded data via USB to a PC for analysis with Electrosoft. The software can also graph and export data files and plot energy costs and savings using voltage optimization techniques.
