Beta Max Hoist Introduces the Only Single Mast Drywall Hoist In North America With A Deck Length Over 12 Feet

Melbourne, FL — Beta Max Hoist Inc., a provider of high speed hoist systems and equipment, today introduced a new all-in-one hybrid rack & pinion hoist that provides two different deck configurations and two different operation modes based on the needs of the project.

The new hoist solves a very common oversized material lifting problem on construction sites. Hoists large enough to carry 12 ft. drywall and other long materials can be costly and if the oversized material is only a tiny fraction of the lifting needed on the project, it can be very difficult to justify the expense.

The Beta Max MC 3000 / 4000 Transport Platform can be used in either of two different modes:

  • Material Mode, for lifting materials only when personnel transportation is not needed, and

  • Transport Platform Mode, for lifting both material and personnel to get to upper levels.

The hoist deck can be configured in two different lengths 7' 5" or an extra-long 12' 10" – perfect for transporting 12 ft. length sheets of drywall.

The different deck lengths have different load capacities; 4,000 lb. for the 7’5” deck and 3,000 lb. for the 12’10” deck.

A key feature of the hoist is the ability to load the car at grade level from two different directions.

“The Beta Max 3000 / 4000 is a truly unique addition to the Rack & Pinion field. It gives our clients an advantage because they can be confident it will improve job site productivity regardless of conditions,” said Tony Rowell, CEO Beta Max Hoist Inc.

The new transport platform has several features designed in mind for General Contractors, Restoration Contractors and Interior Fit Out Contractors:

  • A single mast for simpler setup and lower cost.

  • A unique Side Saloon Door that allows loading the car from the long side – ideal for confined areas.

  • An additional drop down loading ramp from the short side.

  • Capacity for up to seven passengers with material.

  • In carriage and base station control boxes.

  • A live cargo overload sensor that alerts the operator when cargo nears capacity.

  • An Extended Life Tandem Roller & Gear Design: The pinion gears never touch the mast while the drive train is supported with 4 larger gears for less wear & tear.

  • Can be installed to an operational height of 450 feet.

  • Optional roof enclosure to ensure worker safety.

“Our new hybrid transport platform offers a better system to deliver drywall faster with less damage or waste, and offers a better man and material delivery system at a lower price point with one unit,” said Rowell.
