Designed to meet high voltage blocking and high current requirements, Models QRSB165001 and QRD6565001 each feature 2 ribbon-bonded, 67 mm diode elements, which provide 650 A of steady-state current. Units offer 11 KV/650 A single and 6.5 KV/650 A half-bridge configuration while providing 12 KV isolation to baseplate. Housed in corona-resistant package, modules are suited for DC power supplies, pulse power, front-end converters, and laser power supplies.

Powerex Introduces 2 New High Voltage/Current Diode Modules with 11KV and 6.5KV Blocking Capability
Product Description -
Developed to meet the high voltage blocking and high current requirements, Powerex is now offering two new high voltage silicon diode modules (QRSB165001 and QRD6565001) which complement our standard 6500V HVIGBT product offering. Each configuration features ribbon-bonded, 67mm diode elements (two per module) which provide 650A of steady-state current.
Offering an innovative corona resistant package design, these modules are constructed to provide 11KV/650A single and 6.5KV/650A half-bridge configuration while providing 12KV isolation to the baseplate.
11KV is achieved by connecting matched diodes in series. All components and interconnects are isolated from the heat sinking baseplate, offering simplified system assembly and thermal management.
