Model VK680 combines extended coverage with flat concealed cover plate. Featuring ¾ in. NPT thread size and 8.0 (115) K factor, commercial horizontal sidewall sprinkler is cULus-listed for light hazard occupancies as well as 14 x 22 ft, 16 x 20 ft, and 18 x 18 ft coverage areas. Temperature rating is 165°F, and cover plate has temperature rating of 135°F. While sprinkler can be installed up to 12 in. below ceiling, total length of 2 in. aids installation in tight wall spaces.

New Extended Coverage Sidewall Sprinkler Concealed Behind a Flat Cover Plate
Hastings, MI, USA - Viking Corporation, a global leader in fire protection and life safety systems, is pleased to introduce the industry's only commercial "flat plate concealed," extended coverage, horizontal sidewall sprinkler. The new model VK680 sprinkler's innovative design provides all of the advantages of an extended coverage sprinkler along with the enhanced aesthetics of a flat concealed cover plate.
The new VK680, which is cULus listed for light hazard occupancies, uses the same patented design platform as Viking's popular residential concealed sidewall sprinkler (model VK480), which was released in 2010. The VK680 sprinkler has a ¾ in (20 mm) NPT thread size and a K factor of 8.0 (115). The sprinkler's cULus Listed coverage areas include 14' x 22' (4.3 m x 6.7 m), 16' x 20' (4.9 m x 6.2 m), and 18' x 18' (5.5 m x 5.5 m). The new sprinkler has a temperature rating of 165°F (74°C) and can be installed up to 12" (305 mm) below the ceiling to better accommodate potential installation obstructions, such as light fixtures and crown moldings. The VK680 also features a compact design, with a total length of only 2 inches (51 mm), allowing for easier installation in tight wall spaces.
The cover plate for the VK680 commercial sidewall sprinkler, which is the same cover plate used for the VK480 residential sprinkler, is offered in a standard white finish and has a temperature rating of 135°F (57°C). Through Viking's industry-leading custom paint program, Viking can apply virtually any brand and type of paint to the cover plate as well.
