Printpack Introduces Metallic Effect Inks for Shrink Sleeves

Nov, 4, 2008.... Farmingdale, NY...Printpack's Seal-It Division, a converter and printer of heat shrinkable sleeve labels, proudly introduces metallic effects, a fresh and exotic new way to print shrink labels that will differentiate products at retail and increase sales with eye catching metallic color.

Color change effects occur with the use of special inks that can be printed in rotogravure or flexographic. The pigments allow for achieving multiple effects and a wide range of color creations. The marketing potential for this technology is enormous.

A whole new color world of interactive, combinable effects opens up a new way to reach consumers.

Sparkling glitter effects, subtle color changes, luster, and light reflections create new dimensions for manufacturers of specialty beverages, cosmetics, household products, snack food, gourmet food items and other retail products. The enormous brilliance of these effects, mean that small concentrations are sufficient to generate a fantastic look. Many imaginative ideas and value added features can be displayed on the shrink sleeve labels with the use of these specialized inks. Printpack is capable of printing shrink sleeves in up to 10 colors with a variety of metallic effect options available.

Printpack's Seal-It Division is a manufacturer, converter and printer of heat shrink PVC, PETG, OPS and PLA films, used by manufacturers for labeling, tamper-evident bands and sleeves for multipacks.
