Dr. John H. Pye, Director of Engineering for IGSS and member of American Concrete Institute (ACI), wrote course material for IGSS' shotcrete school and will be its lead instructor. Initial consultation will be conducted to structure course to best suit company needs.

Shotcrete Training Courses Now Available with IGSS, Inc. - igssinc.com


Santa Fe, NM - International Ground Support Systems, Inc. (IGSS) announced today the implementation of a new fully integrated solution for training your staff in shotcrete technologies. Edmond Valencia, Director of Business Development for IGSS stated, "Our new course structure will give the students more access to hands on learning, and provide the mining and construction industry with a go to learning center, and resource in shotcrete technologies.

After taking on multiple design/build projects of underground facilities in the past 20 years, IGSS has strategically changed its path to again include shotcrete training and consultation. "We began teaching shotcrete courses in 1974. Our success in the classroom led us to consulting and ultimately multi-year projects in underground structures. We felt it was the right time, as an organization, to get back into the classroom," stated Mr. Valencia.

Dr. John H. Pye, Director of Engineering for IGSS is a member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and is on Committee 506, Shotcreting for ACI as well as chairman of the committee from 2000-2004. Dr. Pye wrote the course material for IGSS' shotcrete school and will be the lead instructor. His experience includes: Senior Profession Staff member, Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board (NWTRB); Department Manager, Yucca Mountain project; Chief Engineer, IGSS.

IGSS currently operates engineering, design and manufacturing facilities in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
