Parts or components are conveyed through blast chamber on work cars at varying line speeds. System removes rust and scale from custom fabrications with total of 8 heavy-duty EZEFIT®12 bladed wheels. Blast cabinets, constructed from welded manganese plate with replaceable high chrome cast liners, accommodate part sizes up to 8 x 16 ft.

Efficiently cleaning custom fabrications

Burlington, ON - (April 8, 2009) - Achieving a commercial (SP6) to near white (SP10) blast finish for custom fabrications is no longer a challenge when utilizing the Work Car AUTOBLAST® System, exclusively offered by Wheelabrator Group. The parts or components are conveyed through the blast chamber on specially-designed work cars at varying line speeds. This Wheelabrator® production system efficiently removes rust and scale from custom fabrications with a total of eight heavy-duty EZEFIT®12 bladed wheels (number of wheels and type may vary depending on the size and shape of the work). An extensive range of blast cabinets are available to accommodate all part sizes up to 8 feet in width and 16 feet in height. By increasing the production of overall clean work units, the system eliminates environmental problems and high labor costs associated with manual air blasting.

Work Car Shot Blast operational systems are designed for descaling custom fabrications, from fabricated I-beams to bridge girders and construction vehicle components, keeping productivity and economic factors in mind. Not only does the system make cleaning custom fabrications much easier, regular maintenance is also reduced. Minimizing the wear from steel shot abrasives, the blast cabinet is constructed from welded manganese plate with replaceable high chrome cast liners in-line with the blast stream (a full cast liner package is available for steel grit use). Allowing for convenient access, the vestibule work seals are replaceable from the machine's exterior and the upper reclaim area is, equipped with a service platform and ladder.
