Qualified per MIL-C-22992, MS90556, and MS90557, the Class L connector is the largest size cylindrical available, offering the greatest capacity. It boasts a current range of 40 to 200 amps, and conductor sizes ranging from 6 to 4/0. At unmating, the power circuits are broken before the ground or neutral circuits. A 5-key polarizing system is employed to preclude the mating of circuits with incompatible power characteristics (voltage, phase and frequency).
