December 16, 2002 - Roll-Fed Sheeter undwinds 2 different rolls of aluminum foil laminated paper at 90° angle to each other. One roll goes into 45° breakover roller to align both rolls together in same direction, then roll material is spliced together and processed. System maps and detects each splice; spliced sections of web are automatically rejected. Roll material is sheeted to precise lengths, and conveyor delivers sheets to next step in processing line.

CONTECH engineered the system to unwind two different rolls of aluminum foil laminated paper at a 90° angle to each other; the unwinds and processing stations are all contained in one compact area. One roll goes into a 45° breakover roller to align both rolls together in the same direction, then the roll material is spliced together and processed without scratching or wrinkling the paper. The system maps and detects each splice; spliced sections of the web are automatically rejected. The roll material is sheeted to precise lengths, a conveyor delivers the sheets to the next step in the processing line.
