PETER® Drive Components Offers Small Size Keyless Shaft Hub Connections

ATLANTA, Ga. - PETER® Drive Components offers keyless locking mechanisms for shaft sizes as small as 1/4"/6mm. These small devices have zero backlash because PETER Drive locking mechanisms are designed to lock securely without keyways. As a result of this innovative design, shafts and components can usually be downsized to reduce material and manufacturing costs.

PETER® Drive Components locking assemblies are easy to install and are well suited for industries that require easy timing and critical positioning of components, such as automation, packaging and printing. They are available in a wide variety of styles designed to satisfy space and torque requirements for individual applications.

These locking assemblies provide a high degree of concentricity, and they withstand reversing loads, a feature that is becoming increasingly important for high-speed manufacturing and packaging applications. They are available in carbon and stainless steel, with the added option of electroless nickel-plated versions that provide extra corrosion protection by preserving the full torque transmission capability.

Technical assistance in determining the best solution for any specific application is available by contacting PETER® Drive Components at 800-211-3968, or visiting the web at info@peterdrivecomponents.com.

Corporate Information
The founder of Peter Drive Components, Oskar E. Peter, invented and patented the first locking element in 1948. Today Peter Drive Components manufactures a product range that includes keyless locking elements, locking assemblies and shrink discs. These locking mechanisms are able to withstand extreme torque loads - even in reversing applications - without failing because their unique design eliminates the need for keyways that are prone to stress fractures and ultimately lead to equipment failure. Locking devices are frequently used on gearboxes, gear wheels, sprocket wheels, packaging machinery, conveyors, robotic applications, windmills, pumps, compressors and forestry machinery.

The North American headquarters for Peter® Drive Components is in Atlanta, Georgia. For additional information please call 1-800-211-3968, or visit the company's web site at peterdrivecomponents.com. Peter® Drive Components, 561 Airport South Parkway #400, Atlanta, GA 30349.
