Digital Servo Drive Facilitates Soft Motion Implementation

Camarillo, California...Advanced Motion Controls announces the availability of its DC201 Series digital drive family, which allows users to implement a multi-axis coordinated motion control system without the need for a dedicated motion controller. The DC201 Series have built-in third-order interpolation and a 5kHz position loop. Position set points are sent from the host to each drive via a high-speed network. Further more, various drives can be synchronized in order to ensure proper coordination. All that is needed on the host controller side is a network interface. Both encoder and resolver feedback models are available. These fully digital drives are designed for use with brushed or brushless, rotary or linear servomotors. Drive configuration and tuning can be accomplished through a graphical and intuitive Windows based utility. Extensive drive protection and error handling are also fully configurable. Various models are available with supply range of 80VDC to 460VAC, and maximum current output capability in the range of 15A to 100A. Units with AC supply also incorporate a shunt regulator circuit with configurable turn on voltage.
