Servo Drive Presses feature fully programmable design.

Press Release Summary:

Available in single and double crank straight side configurations from 88-440 tons, Servo Drive Stamping and Forming Presses handle difficult, high tensile steel applications. Driven by high-torque/low rpm servo motor, slide can be programmed to stop, climb, descend, accelerate, or decelerate at different stroke positions for best formability. Presses operate at low noise levels that meet many noise restrictions established for residential areas.

SEYI to Introduce New Servo Drive Press Line at Fabtech 2011

On November 14 to 17, 2011, SEYI will participate in the FABTECH 2011 machinery and equipment show to be held in Chicago, Illinois where it will introduce its new Servo Press equipment line to the North American market

TAIPEI, Taiwan, -- SEYI (Shieh Yih Machinery Co Ltd) (4533:TT), one of the world's leading producers of mechanical presses, announced that it will introduce its new line of servo drive stamping and forming presses at FABTECH 2011, North America's largest metal forming, fabricating, finishing and welding equipment show. The event will be held from November 14 to 17, 2011 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. SEYI's Servo Press line received strong customer receptions at its March debut at TIMTOS 2011, the Taiwan International Machine Tool Show, and in August at MF Tokyo 2011 in Japan.

In its 49th year of manufacturing and marketing stamping presses, SEYI has spent the past ten years surveying, studying and developing the best-to-market servo drive press. SEYI's new line of Servo Presses enables its customers to optimize their production with fully programmable machines that provide a superior combination of power, precision and control. SEYI Servo Presses are available in single and double crank straight side configurations, from 88 to 440 tons, and are capable even for difficult, high tensile steel applications that are particularly challenging for traditional presses in many industries such as automotive.

In order to meet customer needs in tonnage and energy in low press RPM, SEYI's Servo Presses utilize a unique high-torque/low-RPM servo motor to directly drive the slide. Because the slide can be programmed to stop, climb, descend, accelerate or decelerate at different stroke positions for the best formability, it enables customers to rethink the way they form metals, ushering in a new age of "smart forming."

SEYI's servo motor was developed exclusively by the company, and is totally different from other motors commonly used in machine tools and currently available servo presses. SEYI's leading servo motor and control system technologies enable its customers to achieve deeper drawing, perfect shaping and high quality forming with greater efficiency and productivity in an environmentally friendly manner. SEYI's Servo Presses are energy efficient and operate at low noise levels that meet many of the noise restrictions established for residential areas.

Michael Madden, President of SEYI America, said, "SEYI is pleased to be among the 1200 companies exhibiting at FABTECH 2011. This show draws over 30,000 visitors and is an excellent venue to showcase our new Servo Press line."

Ms. Claire Kuo, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer added, "I am particularly pleased by the introduction of our new line of Servo Presses because it represents the culmination of ten years of hard work by our engineering staff that is testimony to SEYI's product development capabilities. We are pleased by the reception that our new lineup of products has already received, and are confident in its market success. These machines are intelligent, efficient, accurate, energy saving and environmentally friendly."

SEYI's equipment will be on display at Booth 3330 at FABTECH 2011.

About SEYI

Founded in 1962, SEYI has established a position of global leadership in the press building industry over the past 49 years. SEYI manufactures mechanical presses, ranging in size from 25 to 2400 tons, at facilities located in Taiwan and Mainland China. At its original location in Taoyuan, Taiwan, SEYI operates a 12,500 square meter facility, and in 2003 the Company began production in Mainland China at an 11,000 square meter facility located in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. Combined production capacity at the Taoyuan and Kunshan plants approaches 4,000 presses annually. Construction of a second 11,000 square meter facility in Kunshan was completed in 2009 and began production in 2011. The new facility in Kunshan will manufacture up to 300 presses annually, ranging in size from 300 to 4,000 tons. SEYI products have been sold to customers in over 40 countries around the world, and the Company is the dominant foreign supplier to Mainland China, India, South East Asia and the Americas in terms of volume.
