Telstra Incorporated Announces Launch of Global Enterprise Collaboration Services (GECS)

GECS builds on existing products to maximize customers' productivity and efficiency

NEW YORK, May 13 -- Telstra Incorporated, the U.S. subsidiary of Australian-based tier one global carrier Telstra Corporation Limited, today launched Global Enterprise Collaboration Services (GECS), a cost and time-saving conference calling initiative for its customers.

The seamlessly integrated Telstra GECS suite was built with the multinational enterprise customer in mind. The customers' need for a global on-demand, cost-effective and reliable, collaboration platform was the main driver. The result is a simple experience, just a local toll-free number and/or a PC away.

This powerful suite of integrated collaborative tools comprises:
-- Audio and Web Conferencing on-demand i.e. without needing to make a reservation
-- Automated Scheduler Plug-In for the Microsoft Outlook(R) messaging software
-- Event Call Services
-- Unlimited playback recording services including podcast web URL distribution and more, in a variety of formats

Organizers have the option of audio conferencing, web conferencing or both with 24/7 local and international access. Scheduling is also made easy with customizable invitations that can be delivered automatically from the Telstra toolbar in Microsoft Outlook messaging software.

"Telstra GECS allow customers to connect quickly and easily with key elements of their businesses, achieving time and cost savings," said Will Hughs, Senior Vice President of Product and Design, Telstra Incorporated. "The workforce of today is dynamic and projects-based, so the need for painless collaboration has never been more acute. By integrating our product into familiar interfaces like the Microsoft Outlook client and MP3 players, we expect user adoption will not only increase dramatically but it will also evolve into a novel communications medium."

The easy-to-use service is completely automated so no reservations are required. Participants simply follow instructions issued with the Microsoft Outlook invite. For large high-profile events such as shareholder briefings the Event Call Services offers professionally trained moderators. With this service companies can keep participants informed, document what occurred at a meeting and create on-demand training programs for their users using the GECS Recording Services. GECS will deliver a fully synchronized recording of the audio and visual portion of any meeting, which can be published for downloads and /or unlimited playbacks.

"We are very pleased that such a simple product will achieve real results for businesses. GECS empower customers to increase workplace productivity, lower business expenses and increase overall communication quality. The addition of this service to our existing global data services demonstrates our commitment to delivering real business value to this market segment," said Andrew Morawski, President and CEO of Telstra Incorporated.
