Beaumont Announces New Veri-Flo(TM) Service for Mold Filling Simulation
Through ongoing research with their mold filling simulation services, Beaumont Technologies, Inc. (BTI) has identified a need for a low cost solution for upfront comparison of actual molding results versus predicted simulation results. As such, BTI announced its new Veri-flo(TM) Material Verification Service at NPE this year.
BTI's Veri-flo(TM) service, which requires twenty (20) pounds of the specific material to be sent to BTI, is a cost-effective proprietary method used to benchmark actual molding conditions versus simulation predictions. This gives BTI engineers the ability to collect process and material information, compare the data to the analysis output, and then utilize this information in the CAE analysis to provide more accurate interpretation of the result files.
John Ralston, Engineering Manager at BTI, states "The Veri-flo service offers a big advantage for those analyses that must utilize equivalent or substitute materials because the actual material is not characterized in the simulation database." John continues, "Without the actual material characterization data, the accuracy of simulation results is more suspect. However, with the ability to mold the actual material and provide feedback to the analysts performing the simulation BTI can now offer material verified simulation services. Veri-flo also enhances the accuracy for those simulations when the actual material is in the database."
