Advanced Merchant Monitoring Capabilities Added to Cybertrust Online Compliance Program

Enhanced Centralized Dashboard Provides New Reporting Options for Acquiring Banks; Additional Assessment Tools for Merchants

HERNDON, Va., Jan. 17 -- Cybertrust®, the global information security specialist, today announced enhancements to Online Compliance Program(TM) (OCP), its solution to help acquiring banks, merchants, and payment service providers (PSPs) monitor compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard. Acquiring banks now have expanded and easily customizable options to achieve greater visibility over their merchants' compliance status as required by PCI, while merchants and PSPs have access to useful tools to determine their compliance status and necessary remediation activities.

"With increasing pressure on the payment card industry to demonstrate how it is securing sensitive data, individual organizations require a solution that helps them monitor and manage not only their own status, but also that of their business partners," said Kerry Bailey, Cybertrust senior vice president, global services. "Cybertrust's OCP customers benefit not only from the ability to meet the PCI requirements, but also Cybertrust's deep compliance management expertise which enables organizations to make decisions on how to address any compliance shortcomings."

For acquiring banks, the enhancements to OCP provide the ability to filter their merchants based on defined criteria such as compliance status, merchant levels and compliance validation activities. Monitoring and reporting capabilities are increased as acquiring banks now can run reports and export to Microsoft Excel, allowing them to not only easily customize merchant reports, but also manipulate the data in a way that best meets their needs to help them report merchant status back to card companies, as required by the PCI Data Security Standard.

While merchants and PSPs are only required to complete self-assessments based on the number of transactions they process a year, OCP now makes the self-assessment questionnaire available for all levels -- even if its completion is not included in the PCI Data Security Standard compliance score calculation. High-risk merchants now have the ability to use the assessment as a gap analysis tool to further help them prepare for their onsite audits.
