ADS Announces New Septic Leaching Chamber

HILLIARD, OH - February 28, 2008: Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. (ADS) has added a new size to its ARC(TM) Septic Leaching Chamber, BioDiffuser® line. The ARC 18 provides the same maximized infiltrative surface area and storage capacity along with an integral 20 degree articulation connection as the ARC 24 and ARC 36 units. The ARC 18, made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), is five feet long with a secure joint connection that enables the units to be easily and quickly installed in straight or contoured applications. A diamond plate traction pattern on the external corrugations provides a non-slip surface. ADS also has available for the new ARC 18 an optional side port coupler that easily snaps onto the chamber for clean-out access and to provide additional plumbing options. The coupler also has the non-slip traction pattern.

"As with the other ARC chambers, this new product is a direct response to the industry's call for a strong and economical alternative to traditional components used for a gravel and pipe system in a septic leach field application," stated Jim Clemans, director of allied products, ADS. "We're finding great acceptance of the ARC line in both new residential and commercial on-site wastewater systems installations and existing septic system repairs."

Weighing around 15 pounds, the five-foot long sections can be installed by one person. Its corrugated design provides increased load bearing in a trench, meeting the H-10 (16,000 lbs. per axle) specification.

Since it introduced extruded corrugated pipe 40 years ago, Advanced Drainage Systems has continued to provide economical solutions to technical problems in drainage and sewer systems for housing developments, commercial buildings and industrial parks, as well as for roads and highways, sports stadiums and golf courses. ADS is the world's largest producer of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe.
