PEM Self-Clinching Blind Fasteners Offer Protection for Threads and Circuits

DESIGNED FOR PERMANENT INSTALLATION IN ASSEMBLIES:

PEM® self-clinching blind fasteners provide permanently mounted blind threads in metal sheets as thin as .040"/1mm. Their "blind-type" design serves to protect threads against foreign matter and circuits from the intrusion of extra long screws.

These steel (Type B) and stainless steel (Type BS) fasteners can be easily installed in drilled or punched holes using any standard press and applying squeezing force between parallel surfaces. Shanks of the fasteners act as their own pilots and, being round, do not require indexing.

Upon installation, the fasteners become a permanent part of an assembly to provide reliable and re-usable metal threads. Mating hardware completes final component attachment.

Thread sizes range from #4-40 through ¼-20 and M3 through M6. Two different shank lengths are available in each thread size to meet specifications requiring panel holes to be refilled as much as possible.

CAD drawings (in most formats) for these RoHS-compliant fasteners are available free for downloading from www.pemnet.com
