Finally, Commercial Fire Cellular Communication without Back-up

Springfield, Missouri - Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) is pleased to announce that dealers can now install a 463G Digital Cellular Communicator as a stand-alone communicator for commercial fire installations using an XR500 panel. With the UL864 listing, the 436G is an easy-to-install expansion card for the XR500 Series Access, Burglary & Fire panel that creates a direct, wireless communications path to any DMP Central Station receiver without the need for a landline.

"Dealers are increasingly adding cellular communication paths between panels and the Central Station," said Vice President of Sales, Mark NeSmith. "The 463G was already being used as a reliable back-up cellular link. With this new UL listing, dealers can now make our digital cellular communicator the primary path without a backup. Besides simplifying installation and increasing security, adding cellular capability to their customers' panels also provides our dealers with new recurring revenue from monthly cellular service charges."

The 463G card contains an on-board GSM/GPRS communications module that allows alarm messages to be communicated to a DMP Central Station receiver over the digital GSM/GPRS network. The direct, wireless connection between the panel and Central Station, with no NOC retransmission, provides faster and more reliable communications.

The 463G requires no external power supplies, enclosures, batteries, cabling, or conduit connections, simplifying installation and strengthening system security. It ships with a SIM card that is ready for activation with SecureCom Wireless, LLC.

The 463G remains listed for use as a backup commercial fire communicator and a commercial burglary communicator.
