Special Maxa Beam Searchlight Security Kit Introduced for Offshore Oil Rigs, Refineries, Nuclear Plants, and Other Vulnerable Areas of Concern for Homeland Security

The world's most powerful six-million candlepower handheld Xenon searchlight - tested and used on every US Navy ship - is now available for petrochem industry and nuclear power plant protection, search and rescue operations, and more.

EDGEMONT, PA - Peak Beam Systems, Inc., Edgemont, PA, has developed its unique Maxa Beam Force Protection Security Kit for use on offshore oil drilling rigs, oil refineries, chemical manufacturing plants, and nuclear facilities. The hand-held, very easy to use searchlight illuminates perimeters and areas up to 1 mile away - making it ideal for waterfront, offshore, and land-based perimeter security. It is also ideally suited for search and rescue operations involving offshore oil rigs, personnel transportation vehicles, and oil transport vessels. Its water-resistant construction makes Maxa Beam more useful and reliable in even harsh, severe environments including rain, sleet, snow, and marine settings.

Maxa Beam is widely used for security and surveillance used either, overtly with full spectrum "white" light illumination, or, covertly with its special filter packs, for Infra-Red surveillance using night 'scopes or video or still cameras.

The kit includes the unique Maxa Beam handheld xenon searchlight with a complement of batteries, chargers, accessories, and maintenance supplies. The outfit is geared toward security and search missions where continuous battery powered operation is crucial.

Maxa Beam is the world's most powerful, focusable, handheld searchlight - boasting six-million peak beam candlepower, but with easy-to-use features. Maxa Beam's unique design permits users to operate the searchlight with one hand while leaving the other free for tools or weapons. Maxa Beam's ergonomic design is such that the thumb of the hand holding the searchlight can vary and control the size of the beam from a wide 40° flood to a narrow 1° beam, control the intensity of the light, and can activate the strobe function that can temporarily blind and disable intruders at long range.

The Petrochem Force Protection Package includes:
o one Maxa Beam searchlight
o 3 NiCad rechargeable battery modules with carrying straps
o 2 multivoltage conditioning chargers with vertical mounting kit for wall or bulkhead storage and charging of the batteries while attached to the searchlight or by themselves
o 2 5-ft. power coil cords
o one protective lens
o one fog/smoke filter
o a covert infrared filter
o 2 filter storage/protective pouches
o a maintenance kit
o a large wheeled storage/transport case
o an instructional videotape
o a quick-reference guide

Maxa Beam has been used extensively by the military, law enforcement, fire services, prisons, maritime industry, railroads, utilities, and security teams. It has been utilized for waterside search and surveillance and to tighten security in vulnerable areas for over 20 years.
