IQ(TM) (Installs Quickly) environmental switch and circuit breaker silicone sealing boots have integral bonded concentric aluminum nut that screws directly onto, and completely surrounds, existing front-panel switch bushing-nut. Products have round base and provide protection to IP 66/68 against hostile contaminants that can invade and corrode internal contacts. Conforming toggle design fits switches/breakers with 15/32-32 bushing, requiring 0.975 in. boot height.

New IQ(TM) Sealing Boots Meet Growing Aesthetic Demands
Englewood, NJ - June 4, 2008 -- APM HEXSEAL announced today their new IQ (Installs Quickly) line of Sealing Boots. This new generation of environmental switch and circuit breaker silicone sealing boots is designed for fast retrofitting on existing control panels. The heart of this new sealing system was made possible by a new (patent pending) mounting technique. The IQ Series features an integral bonded concentric (CONCENTRO-NUT(TM)) aluminum nut that screws directly onto and completely surrounds the existing front-panel switch bushing-nut. It also speeds up the mounting time on original equipment assembly.
The IQ Series provides protection to IP66/68 against unforgiving hostile contaminants: salt-spray, ice-buildup, sand, dust, dirt, sunlight, ozone, fungus, most solvents and lubricants, -- virtually any potential contaminant that can invade and corrode the internal contacts and affect the reliability and performance of a non-sealed switch or circuit breaker. This conforming toggle design fits most popular switch/breaker brands with a 15/32-32 bushing, requiring a 0.975" (24.7mm) boot height. The round base reflects the aesthetic desire of some panel designers to feature a round shape, instead of the original hexagon that APM made famous in their original HEXSEAL® sealing boot design.
Offered in standard black or grey, APM will also color-match to any specifications to match panel color or to denote control function. No O-Rings, washers or adhesives are needed. The IQ boot design also includes a patented sealing-rib that creates a vacuum seal around the mounting hole, preventing gas or liquid seepage from reaching exposed circuitry.
