The InduProof² (TM) keyboard and InduMouse(TM) are encased in a silicone cover, which is highly resistant against chemicals. The cable connections consist of a non-spiral, smooth and sealed data cables. The InduProof² (TM) keyboard and InduMouse(TM) use mechanical keyswitches for excellent tactile feel and durability. The base of the InduProof² (TM) and InduMouse are made of a sealed metal plate, which protects against the use of harsh cleaning fluids and disinfectants as well as other industrial liquids such as solvents and acids. Both keyboard and mouse are rated NEMA6P and IP68 for full immersion.
The combination of an industrial grade, NEMA6P/IP68 rated optical mouse with an equally protected keyboard allows the user to take advantage of the precise control of an optical pointing device and the convenience of complete protection against dust and liquids.
Both the InduProof² (TM) keyboard and InduMouse(TM) pointing device have been tested by the Institute for Microbiology & Hospital Hygiene at the clinical center of the Phillipps University in Marburg for use in hygiene sensitive environments. These tests show that these data input solutions are best suited for use in hygienically critical and sensitive areas that require spraying and wiping disinfectant and cleaning solutions on the surfaces of the keyboard.
InduProof² (TM) keyboard and InduMouse(TM) are ideally suited for hygiene sensitive hospital and laboratory environments. They are also used in food processing applications that require a high degree of chemical resistance for equipment disinfection.
