Graco Introduces the ExactaBlend Advanced Glazing Proportioner for Sealants and Adhesives
ExactaBlend AGP provides on-ratio mixing of plural-component sealants and adhesives for use in curtainwall, insulating glass and other applications
MINNEAPOLIS-- Graco Inc. (NYSE:GGG) announced today that it is introducing the ExactaBlend™ AGP Advanced Glazing Proportioner. The ExactaBlend AGP is designed to solve the inherent challenges of on-ratio mixing for silicones that are often used in manufacturing curtainwall and insulating glass. The ExactaBlend AGP system provides optimal mixing and on-ratio proportioning capabilities that increase quality assurance of the final product. The system’s real-time ratio assurance also reduces material waste because the system automatically shuts down if off-ratio conditions occur.
“Accurate mixing of plural-component adhesive materials is vital in the creation of insulating glass units and curtainwall,” said Mike Cryer, Graco Product Marketing Manager. “Obtaining on-ratio mixing and dispensing for these applications has long proven to be a difficult industry challenge but the ExactaBlend AGP offers ratio assurance and is an affordable, high quality solution that offers attractive savings to the end user.”
In addition to the cost reduction and quality assurance benefits of the system, the ExactaBlend AGP is also very easy to operate. Compared to traditional proportioners with mechanical linkage and rocker arms, the unit’s electronic controls remove the guesswork from ratio setting and maintenance. The controls provide simple set up of ratios and also allow operators to make ratio changes on the fly.
With ExactaBlend’s optional data reporting capabilities, window manufacturers can track key information such as ratio, material usage, flow rate, alarm events and system errors. This information can be gathered via USB data download and used to streamline the production process and increase effectiveness of the line.
