Britool Launches its Most Versatile Screwdriver Set to Date
The latest addition to the Britool range of professional-quality hand tools is an extremely versatile 35 Piece Ratcheting Screwdriver set (BRSDSET1). The set contains a robust, fine tooth, ratcheting screwdriver with anti-impact, soft-grip rubber handle and a choice of four interchangeable screwdriver blades including 150mm and 250mm ¼" hexagon drivers, a ¼" square drive screwdriver blade and a 290mm ¼" hexagon driver flexible screwdriver blade. The set also includes 30 interchangeable bits in the most popular slotted, Phillips®, Pozidriv®, Torx® and Tamper Proof Torx® sizes.
The sheer quantity of different blades and bits supplied makes this an exceptionally adaptable kit and one which can be used for a wide variety of applications. The addition of a flexible screwdriver blade means it is particularly suitable for use by technicians who frequently need to work in hard to reach areas because the blade continues operate effectively when bent at angles in excess of 140°. In fact, the screwdriver will even continue to operate when the blade is impeded or clamped firm, as the bit is rotated by an internal mechanism that is entirely independent of its outside casing.
In addition to the full kit, Britool is also launching the high quality, ratcheting screwdriver as a stand alone product. This item is supplied complete with six changeable bits (two slotted 4 & 6.5mm, two Pozidriv® 1 & 2, two Phillips® 1 & 2). These are stored in a convenient eject cartridge which is neatly concealed in the screwdriver's rubber handle.
The cartridge has been designed so as to store the bits securely, in a fixed place, making it easy to identify missing pieces. Its release mechanism is recessed so that it cannot be jettisoned accidentally.
Senior Product Manager, Andrew Woolner, simply described the screwdriver as, "a great piece of kit". He continued by explaining "that its weight, quality, durability, versatility and ease of use make it an asset to any tool kit".
