Screw Inspection and Sorting Machines

Automation Associates, Inc. announces the availability of their NEW PACE CCD Camera and Vision Analysis Sorting and Inspection Machine for 100% detection of malformed threads of headed parts. Inspection features include; full thread form, major diameter, root diameter, pitch, helix angle, shank diameter, lengths, groove width and position, head height and full head diameter.

This machine incorporates both continuous or index-dwell rotation of the part transfer disc. Normal inspection for shank length, thread no-thread, head height, grooves, pilot dimension etc. are run in the conventional continuous rotation mode. The index-dwell mode provides 360 degree rotation of the part, at which time eight synchronized shots are taken of the thread area, and other features as grooves, diameters and pilot dimensions. No area is hidden from the camera view as on continuous rotation machines.

Eddy current systems can also be adapted to the index-dwell machines for crack inspection of heads, material mix, heat treated etc.

Also available are automatic carton conveying systems 1/4 and 1/2 keg cartons.

Filled cartons are automatically lifted 32" from the floor for operator removal eliminating manual lifting cartons from a lower hazardous position for operator safety. All functions are fully automatic, including machine restart after the filled carton is transferred.
