For plant managers needing to boost process efficiency and protect operator safety as
the industry moves to larger, heavier screens with more separations, the new Russell Finex Screen Changer can speed screen changes on sieves, screeners and separators while reducing the risk of operator injury and mesh damage.
The Screen Changer enables mesh screens to be changed quickly, safely and easily by a single operator without the need for manual lifting or additional tools. This improves plant productivity while reducing downtime and labor costs at every screen change, inspection or cleaning.
This highly flexible unit can be used with most round separators from 48" to 60" diameter from almost any manufacturer. As it lifts up to four sieve, screener or separator decks at once, with or without deblinding devices, it allows even the bottom screen to be changed without disassembling the decks above it.
The unit simply clicks into place, enabling the operator to access any mesh screen in a matter of seconds. A rechargeable power pack allows the operator to raise the decks above the screen to be changed. The operator just connects the unit's hooks to the screener, removes the clamp from the relevant sieve deck and activates the lift button.
Because the Russell Screen Changer gives more clearance between the screen and raised sieve decks than other lifting devices on the market, the operator has more working room to efficiently change, inspect or clean the screen. For added safety, a lock-off system prevents accidental operation of the unit while the operator changes or cleans mesh screens.
Since the Screen Changer is portable, a single unit can service all a plant's screeners. Durable castors make the unit easy to manoeuvre from one screener to the next.
A built-in power pack eliminates the need for connection to a main supply. Running out of power is never a problem because the lead is simply plugged into a standard single-phase socket to charge the power pack when necessary.
